After 12-year Detour, Houston Rocket Finally Sing Brad Miller

It was in 1998 when Houston Rocket first noticed Brad Miller. Tomjanovich, then Rocket coach, coached the US dream team in 1998-2000, and Brad Miller was in the team. Rudy T had his eye on the young center with the nice mid-range shooting touch from Purdue. He vowed to get him to Houston.



Tomjanovich tried to sign the undrafted Miller as a rookie, but he had already made a commitment to Charlotte and didn't want to break his word. That started him on a career that has taken him to Chicago, Indiana and Sacramento, where he enjoyed playing for Adelman, for both the style of his ball movement offense and his attitude.



Miller is 34 now, and didn’t have a successful performance last season at Chicago, averaged at 8.8points 4.9rebounds and 43% field-goal percentage. The Rockets are still happy to get this guy. With Yao Ming returning from his injured foot and his minutes restricted, Rockets need a experienced backup center to take up the space and do something in the paint.
